In the story we see a lot of frantic behaviors that help out with figuring out the emotions in the story along with the message. For example in the Veldt we see a lot of frantic behavior in the story when it comes to the room and how they are going to deal with it because the parents know they have an attachment to the room now. Along with how in the white elephant we see a bit of frantic behavior since the way they are trying to cover up the abortion and they refuse to talk to it because of how demonized it during the time. Both the veldt and the white elephant are very similar. One of the ways they are similar is how the emotions are shared in the story. So when the reader reads the white elephant we get a whole lot of symbolism. Which helps show the true intentions of what the story is trying to tell. But when you read the veldt you get a lot of impulsive behaviors which tend to show how much the parents are afraid of what might happen. ‘’ .. if I do it you won't ever worry? They screamed and pranced and threw things.”( the veldt) When the readers view these lines they tend to think that it's normal but when we notice how someone's feelings are being ignored and how impulsive it was to turn off the room after so many attempts at trying to turn it off. But we really do see a bit of isolation in this part. For example, we see it when the girl is not able to make her own choices. For example we see a small argument between the guy and girl if everything will change or stay the same if they get the abortion. Along with how in the veldt we see an inconsistent with the decision that the parents will make with the room since they keep contemplating closing it or keeping it on. For example “ I think it's the best thing to do. But I don't want you to do it if you don't really want to.” and “George, " said Lydia Hadley, turning on the nursery just for a few moments. You can't be so abrupt. No '' here we can see how inconsistent their actions are and how they try to do something and someone ends up ruining it in general. If we look at the white elephant sentence it is showing how he knows she is vulnerable and how he thinks she will do anything for him. Which is one way that isolation is shown and I hope it affects the
