The War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel by English author H. G. Wells. It first appeared in book form in 1897.The War of the Worlds is the first person narrative of the survival of a protagonist in London as the planet Earth is invaded by extraterrestrial beings. War of the Worlds was written in 1897, it was the first ever story detailing a conflict between Aliens and Humans.
