Allison Foote Mrs. Marton Adv. Eng. 9 25 May 2023 To Kill a Mockingbird Compare and Contrast Imagine living in a world of prejudice. A black man getting accused of rape even though he didn’t do it. Being separated from the whites and dying because you know that there was no hope that they would see you as innocent. Well that is what Tom Robinson had to go through it and it was obvious in the book and movie. Mr. Robinson was accused of raping Mayella Ewell. He was put on trial and his story sounded truthful. Mayella and Bob Ewell said that he was wrong and told another story on what happened. Tom was considered guilty mostly because he was black and the Ewell’s were white. This is one of the things that prejudice is shown throughout the film
