Have you ever read the book Towers Falling or Raymond’s Run? The stories Raymond’s Run and Towers Falling are very similar when it comes to the theme of friendship. The main characters Deja in Towers Falling and Squeaky in Raymond’s Run both learn lessons with friendship. A difference in Raymond’s Run is where it teaches you that you can change your attitude toward someone like when Squeaky first didn’t like Gretchen but at the end, Squeaky smiled at Gretchen and they became friends, which it can be hard to smile at your enemy. Where in Towers Falling it shows that homeless people are not any different than us and that it is a good thing to be respectful of them. In Towers Falling, Deja finds out that people at school don’t value her less because she is homeless. Ben and Sabeem became friends with Deja, even though a lot of people were probably ignoring Deja because she probably looked lower class than other kids, which could break up both Ben and Sabeem's previous group of friends. In Raymond’s Run, Squeaky discovers that it is better to be nice to people than to think critically about them. For example, when she thought critically about Gretchen, Squeaky didn’t like her, but when she thought positively about Gretchen she became friends with her.
