Tuck Everlasting Some people have difficulty deciding which is better: the book or the film. Natalie Babbitt wrote the story Tuck Everlasting and Disney made a version of Tuck Everlasting. Natalie Babbitt’s Tuck Everlasting is a book about a 10 year old girl, Winnie Foster, who meets a family, the Tuck’s, who are immortal. They have some happy and sad experiences with each other. I believe that Natalie Babbitt’s text Tuck Everlasting is better than Disney’s film Tuck Everlasting because it puts more suspense, it has a better characterization basis, and it puts greater imagery into your mind.
“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward,” says Steve Maraboli, a motivational speaker. This is a common theme in many of award-winning author, Neal Shusterman’s novels, such as Full Tilt and Everlost. The novel Full Tilt is about an anxious teenaged boy named Blake who has to go through seven rides, all relating to his fears and past experiences, so that he can survive a paranormal amusement park. Everlost is about two teens, Nick and Allie, who die in a car crash and are sent to a place in-between the afterlife and real life, called Everlost. Though very different in subject, Shusterman uses the same literary techniques to show that it is his writing, and to move the plot forward and express the themes he wants to showcase.

and they shelter her. At the beginning of the novel, Winnie had never even left her yard without someone else, and she feels trapped. She struggles throughout the story to step out of her comfort zone in many ways and to reach for adventure. Two ways that Winnie might be characterized are that she is cautious and loyal. We see her being cautious many times in the novel.
In life, there are many similarities and differences that can be shared between anything. In the novel Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya, there are many moments in Antonio’s life that are similar or different than mine. .Antonio is a small boy who questions most of the things in his life earning him the title of the “Inquisitor” from his family. Even though both Antonio and I grew up in strong Catholic households, there are still differences between us such as our parental expectation and dreams.
Reuben continually has breathing problems. Jeremiah doesn’t care how many times he must stop what he’s doing and help Reuben; he is always patient, kind, and sympathetic. Swede frequently expresses the innocent selfishness that most eight-year-olds have; Jeremiah never becomes impatient or gruff but instead teaches her corrective behavior from his own example. Davy takes the lives of two young boys then runs from the police. Jeremiah never stops showing Davy his absolute support of Davy as a son nor his irrevocable and forgiving love as his father.
Miles thinks that living forever is a curse because if you live forever there is no point doing great things in life for no meaning. Jesse feels that living forever is an advantage to have neverending fun and more time to do as much as he wants as long as he wants. Winnie shows that she does not want to live forever because she thought if she did live forever then she would have eternal life and be immortal. You should not want to live forever if you had the chance to if you did chose to you would regret it. You will live forever while everybody you know is dying being proud of what they have done so far.
At the beginning of the section in “Tuck Everlasting” Winnie’s tone is desperate. I think this is the tone because when she says “I don’t think that I can stand it much longer” it sounds desperate because it's like whatever she can’t stand much longer is something that she desperately wants to stop. Now the tone towards the end of the section. The tone towards the end of this section is annoyed. She says “That’s just what I mean.
but she 's lost in words and doesn 't say anything to her dad this proves the thesis is true by the conflict jesse has had with her dad in the past and she would like to fix it with a new start. Second point in downriver of the person vs person conflict is when Jesse is scared to stand up to troy and say hes wrong or to disagree with him she thinks that if she stands up to troy she’ll get scared and might think that troy might hit her. Jesse smacks Freddy across the face while they were on their adventure and Jesse feels bad because she has feelings for Freddy and feels like she should apologize this is how this conflict in downriver for person vs person has in downriver and will continue but in conclusion these points i showed are all in the story of person vs person conflict in downriver.
