Inventors are the primary driving force of the economy. They think, invent, and possibly produce products that improve not only the economy but also the lives of people. People have enjoyed and are still enjoying many of the fruits of inventions. The fruits of inventions vary from immunizing people against diseases to enjoying the comfort of adjusting the temperature and humidity of the air circulating indoors. However, people today failed to celebrate the inventors and scientific innovators as much as they did in the past. The figure of an inventor carries less weight and respect than before. In the nineteenth century, inventors used to work as individuals or in small groups while nowadays they work for large corporations and scientific institutions. Their names get lost in the middle of the corporate chaos. People rarely see statues, engravings, and magazines commemorating contemporary inventors. The romantic heroic inventor age disappeared.

His discovery of the smallpox vaccine was the main highlight of his career as an English physician. Jenner is known as the father of immunology. Moreover, the importance of his invention in 1774, was summarized in his ability to successfully vaccinate his family and other individuals during a smallpox epidemic. Jenner provided people with cowpox, which allowed them to safely gain immunity. His medical invention helped immunizing individuals against fatal diseases.
