Romeo and Juliet is a writing on two star crossed lovers who will do anything to be with the one they love. They come from two families who can’t stand each other, and who are always trying to start a fight. The lovers met at a masked party and fell in love with each other the second they say each other and started talking. They agreed to get married but that was a hard task to fulfill, considering their families hate each other. Romeo goes to the friar and asks him to marry them. This is the start of all the trouble, this is the start to how the friar killed Romeo and Juliet. The plain was that Romeo was going hide in Mantua. Juliet was to sleep alone and drink a potion that he made her. “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilled liquor drink thou off, when presently through all thy veins shall run a cold and drowsy humor, for no pulse shall keep his native progress but surcease.”(Act 3 scene 5). This quote says that Juliet will go to sleep alone and drink the potion that will cause her to fall asleep and stay asleep for 42 hours. It will seem like she died in her sleep, she will be cold to the touch and her cheeks will lose color. When her family finds her they will have a funeral for her and they will leave her in the Capulet tomb. And after 42 hours Romeo and the Friar will be there to wake her so Romeo and her can run away together. In order for Romeo to find out about the plan, the Friar needs to write a letter to Romeo. I see so many problems with this, so many things could go wrong. “I could not send it - here it is again- (gives Friar Lawrence a letter)” (Act 5 scene 2). Friar Lawrence gave Friar John a letter and asked him to deliver it to romeo before this quote was said. But in this quote Friar John is telling Friar Lawrence that he was not able to deliver the letter to Romeo because he was on house arrest because he was thought to of had the plaque. This is very bad news because Romeo does not know the plan. This causes Balthasar to see Juliet being carried into the tomb, and he runs to tell Romeo that she has died. This causes Romeo to go see for himself that she had died. But first he stopped to see the apothecary so that he could give him a death potion, and when he showed up to the tomb he found Juliet sleeping but he thought she was dead. So he drank the potion and he died, but soon after Juliet woke up to find him dead and she killed herself to be with him. If the friar never made her the potion they wouldn't both be
