Fables are fictional and can have meaning within the stories. The three books that will be compared are Aesop’s fable, Aesop’s fable (retold version), and Fables. The books are similar and different in many ways. “The Lion and the Mouse” came from a book called Aesop’s fable. The lion in the story had light brown eyes. The lion’s eyes didn’t make him look mean,but made him look nice. The setting were held place in a dry area that looks like a safari. There was patches of grass all over the area where the lion was sitting. The lion got caught by the hunters that were nearby. The mouse heard the lion’s roar and chewed him out of the ropes. The lion was terrified in that situation and he thanked the mouse. The lion was happy when he saw the mouse passing by when he was tied up. The lion’s eyes were warning you not to get closer. The setting took place in a grassy area with tall grass. The lion was under the tree with grass all over. When the lion got caught by the hunters, it let out a huge, frighten roar. The mouse heard his roar and let the lion out of the ropes. The purpose of this fable was that people that are smaller than you can prove you wrong. Lastly, “The Lion and the Beetle” came from a book called Fables. The lion had bold black eyes as midnight. The lion’s eyes were so bold that you can see how the lion is feeling at any moment. The sighting took place on the sidewalk near the lion’s palace. The lion was high and mighty when he saw the beetle; he thought the beetle wasn’t bowing. The lion leaned near the beetle and fell right into a ditch. The lion looked terrified and disgusted with the beetle. The moral of this fable is that people who think they are better than someone have a long way to
