She likes to say that no child should be left behind. She is also using the Finnish schools as a dream that is coming true to Finland. Partanen again is using Sahlberg because it makes her article so much stronger about what she supports. Sahlberg uses President Kennedy’s dream as an example. “When President Kennedy was making his appeal for advancing American science and technology by putting a man on the moon by the end of the 1960’s, many said it could not be done” (Sahlberg 975).
Have you ever wondered about Finland’s government, or America’s? Finnish military, government setup, power, and basic rights are almost completely similar. In my opinion I prefer American government more than Finnish. Finland’s military is pretty similar to American military, but some things are different. Finland’s military consists of the Finnish Army, Finnish Navy, and Finnish Air Force, whereas America’s is made up of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

Additionally, for the most part, Canada’s legislative body has several similarities and differences with the United States’ Congress. In the United States, Congress is made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Similarly, Canada’s Parliament is also made up of a bicameral legislature: the House of Commons and the Senate (Courthouse Libraries BC). In general, both legislatures in both countries have the ability to amend, repeal, and make new laws. On Tyranny Timothy Snyder wrote a book called “On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century,” mainly to inform Americans on how to withstand from the rise of tyranny in America today. He starts the book off with an opening line, “history does not repeat, but it does instruct” (Snyder 6). In reference to the opening line, readers will learn how to prevent the fall of democracy, along with overcoming the rise of tyranny through ‘twenty lessons’ based on the mistakes made in the twentieth century. These historical lessons are mostly taken from European’s history of fascism, communism, and Nazism. As an expert in European history, the author, Timothy Snyder uses examples based on the Soviet Union and the German Nazis to show how “history can familiarize, and it can warn” (Snyder 7).
Throughout history schools have served an important purpose; they aim to educate children and improve society by giving children the necessary skills needed to make advancements when they become old enough to make contributions. Although, schools are often criticized, by politicians, parents and in some cases the general population, for not serving their purpose properly. Often the people making these judgements are unaware of what is needed in schools. Society has been making judgements towards the education system for centuries and in some instances, it has been for the better. The thought behind the purpose of schooling hasn’t evolved as much as it has been broadened to include the vast majority of the population and along the way it has
Africa Should Model Its Education Like Finland And Canada Education is the systematic process of improving learning, knowledge, skill and understanding about anything at school, colleges, universities and other educational institutes which gives people an enlightening experience. Students' intelligence aren't measured at all for the first sixed years, so they can focus more on learning, collaboration, and personal needs rather than competing with other students for an "A". The difference between the "weakest" and "strongest" is the smallest in the world. About two thirds of students attend college, and that is the highest rate in all of Europe. They also have longer breaks compared with other schools, and teachers only spend four hours a day in the class room and two hours for extra help. Today, Finland's education system is proven to be most effective, and students outperform most of the world.
