Bertrand Russell and Martin Luther King, Jr. was both famous writers during the 20th century. Bertrand Russell and Martin Luther King wrote essays, using unique styles of writing that most people do not do. This is the analysis of how effective both of these writers convey to the reader through voice, structure, and descriptive details. The voice of Bertrand Russell writing is simple, straightforward expressions and Martin Luther King, Jr. writings are storytelling/history. To illustrate Bertrand Russell writing, in the essay “What I Lived For” (1956), he talked about how his passions, are like the great wind, that has blown him in various directions, in an uncontrollable route, over a deep ocean of suffering, until he completely loses hope.
