Speeches are what defines a leader. Wars are fought over them, rebellions are incited because of them, and communities are brought together over them. In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Brutus and Mark Antony test their debate prowess in an attempt to win over their audience. While their tactics show some fleeting similarities, each relies on their own style and methods. Ultimately, Mark Antony shows his superiority with speech and alters the plot in his favor.
