The religious tradition that I feel best states my views on euthanasia is Christianity. I am a Christian and I believe that God gives life to people, so he should be the one to decide whether someone is going to live or die. For example, if I have a friend and he/she gives me a gift, I used to like the gift but after a couple of years I don't like the gift anymore or don't want it anymore because the gift is no longer what it used to be. I should never throw the gift even if I don't like it anymore because I know my friend is going to be mad about it. My friend would think that I am a bad friend for throwing the gift away. Basically what I’m trying to say is taking my life because my life is not what it used to be anymore is wrong and would …show more content…

So that’s why I feel that the Christianity best states my views on euthanasia. There are many reasons why I believe that Christianity and the Oregon Death with dignity act have completely different views on euthanasia. For example, The Oregon death with dignity is not against euthanasia, but Christianity is against euthanasia. The Oregon death with dignity act basically allowing ill people to end their lives whenever they want to, but the person has to be 18 years old or older. They usually do that with the lethal medications that are prescribed by a physician. The Christians believe that life is a gift from God and that God has created death and birth to be part of the life process. so no one should be able to take their life away whether this person is 18 years old or not. The Christians believe that no one should be allowed to take someone life’s away even if the person wants to die. The Christians don’t have the right to die while the Oregon death act with dignity give the right to die. The Christianity believes that no one should be able to ask anyone to take their life away because no one should ever feel valueless in this world, while the Oregon death with dignity act
