Fairy tales are a big part of children’s life. There is countless stories, movies and games based on perfect ending fairy tales. When I was a little girl, my life was like a fairy tale. I felt like a princess every day. I would dress up and make all of my cousin’s play with me too except in my version of Cinderella I had the perfect world. There was no evil stepmother or evil stepsisters; it was simply perfect. Even though I had that coveted perfect life, it does not mean that everyone else had one as well; everyone has his or her own definition of what a perfect life is. Everyone wants to live the fairy tale life, but not all stories have a successful conclusion. We have read many fairy tale stories in class, and not just one of them is “the” fairy tale. They all manage to compare to each other. In modern times, children only know the Disney version of Cinderella; they do not know where it came from. It originated from a Cinderella story not meant for dreaming, and happy endings. They made it a story that would make children more aware of society and would teach them how to dream beyond the stars. …show more content…

The Brothers Grimm version has many scenes where it is gory. Many scenes are not meant for children to hear or imagine, however, in the animated Disney version of Cinderella, there is no gore there is just animated animals and wonderful songs. This version is meant for children to watch and dream about; it is meant to show children a lifestyle that they should want to have; and most importantly it gives children something to look forward to while growing up by making goals and striving to be their best
