Classical conditioning is an association that becomes automatic and when I think of that, I think of peas. When I was pretty young my mom and dad made me try peas and after I tried them I gagged then threw up. Ever since I associate peas with puke. I can’t stand the smell of them, and if they are in my food (like a casserole) I just can’t bring myself to eat it because I’m scared I will throw up. Peas are gross.
Operant conditioning is how you are basically trained behaviors with reward/punishment. In kindergarten we are taught to raising our hands when we want to speak.
