Though communism and Absolute monarchy are both widely considered as inferior governmental systems it is extremely important to understand the ideas and implications of both. Communism is different from monarchy in a few ways, one of these ways being the pathway to positions of power and influence. With that in mind it is also worth noting that they are similar in the fact that they both are essentially dictatorships. Those below royalty were crushed by the weight of their responsibility. The royalty had tremendous power and there were nearly no boundaries to abide by. The contrast between the value of prestige and the devaluing of the general population was stark and painful to the citizens. That pain felt by the people caused a need and urgency for change. In essence the idea is that all means of production are owned and regulated by the all. This idea should immediately cause Christians to shudder. The truth of the matter is that straight out of the gate communism is directly violating 3 of the 10 commandments of the Bible, one being the idolization of the government, the second stealing, and finally coveting the neighbor’s property.
