The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a story of a man who has two different personalities living in the same body. The two personalities are totally opposite from one another and you never see them at the same time. The two personalities are so different that friends of Dr. Jekyll cannot tell that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the same person. Dr. Jekyll is a respectable and honorable man from a wealthy family. He is a popular London scientist who is known for his dinner parties that he has for his friends. Dr. Jekyll is a tall, handsome man around 50 years old. On the other hand, Mr. Hyde is much smaller and younger than Dr. Jekyll and he is described as deformed person. Mr. Hyde is not as outgoing as Dr. Jekyll. In the story, we can see the differences between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde but we find out the Mr. Hyde is the evil side of the personality because of the crimes he committed like murder and trampling a little girl. With all of the bad things that Mr. Hyde does in the story, it is hard not to believe that Dr. Jekyll does not have some evil intentions. Jekyll’s other personality only became an issue when he could not control when Mr. Hyde appeared. In the past, Mr. Hyde only appeared when Dr. Jekyll took the chemical solution. It wasn’t too long before Mr. Hyde would come out without Dr. Jekyll using the solution. Mr. Hyde took control over Dr. Jekyll’s body. Dr. Jekyll talks about one time when he was in Regent’s Park, enjoying his day, he started to feel his body change on his own and all of a sudden Mr. Hyde appeared. Dr. Jekyll also said that if he fell asleep as Dr. Jekyll, he would wake up as Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll was really bothered by this and he thought that his good side would eventually die and Mr. Hyde would take over his body
