Comparing Dr. King's Speech To Today

I can relate Dr. King’s speech to today because we still wish for a better future where race isn’t a problem. Our racial problems now don’t compare to the problems of the past, but there still is a long way to go. Fifty years later, there are still people who assume that a person’s race defines who they are, what they do, and what they’re good at. There are still so many restrictions in everyday life because of race. Dr. King’s dream has not yet become reality, but we are still working for it every day. Dr. King, throughout the speech, gave advice and inspiration that will work forever. An example of his eternal inspiration is, “As we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.” This is eternal inspiration
