Television is a popular form of entertainment around the world. Talk shows, specifically, appeal to adults and teenagers. Two popular talk shows happen to be The Ellen Show and Oprah. Women, such as Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey, catch the attention of viewers with their intriguing shows and consuming personalities. DeGeneres and Winfrey are two influential women with many similarities and differences. Oprah and Ellen have similar personal lives. In their personal lives both of their parents divorced when they were younger. DeGeneres and Oprah received their high school diplomas, and attended college for speech and communication. They also encourage other to give back as well by explaining ways to do so on their shows. Ellen DeGeneres, well spirited and upbeat, gets the crowd excited and pumped. She dances everyday and her shows are humorous and can aim to connect with all kinds of audiences. She interviews celebrities, but she never asks about personal issues. Ellen gives to charities but does not own her own charities. She loves animals and has animals, talented young children, and musicians perform at the end of her shows. Oprah Winfrey is more serious; her show is mainly for people who merely love to get to the point. She often talks about books as well as interviewing celebrities. When celebrities are interviewed she talks about intense topics. Divorces, marriages, affairs, are common topics on her show.
