Burning, sacrificing, competition, and equalizing are all events that Modern American Society experiences. These three stories take all events a step further and make everything worse. When people compare Modern American Society to all three stories there are differences that people can’t even imagine. These societies are nightmares to the Modern American Society. Modern American Society can be compared to Fahrenheit 451, 2081, and the Maze Runner in amazing ways. In Fahrenheit 451 and Modern American Society, there are many fires. Fahrenheit 451’s fires start to eliminate books in houses. The firemen are not the firemen that everyone knows and loves today. These firemen start fires instead of stopping them like in Modern American Society. The fires get started with kerosene and a source of fire. In Modern American Society the fire trucks hold water, axes, etc. Since 451 firefighters start fires, the fire trucks hold kerosene to potentially start the fire. In Modern American Society is a democracy, MAS lets the people talk to and about the government. People can critic the government on most all things. In 2081 the government puts limits on the strong and smart people. The strong got weights, and the smart got a dewhickie on their head that makes them a little “dumber” The device limits memory, reading, and other things that make them smarter than the “less smarter” people. MAS leader is called a president in the Modern American Society. In 2081 the Handicapper General is the leader of the country. Since the Handicapper General made everyone “equal” the smart people would not be able to have the same jobs as before. This means that the government’s debt would increase due to insufficient workers. Modern American Society is lucky enough to have people that work with money and help everyone in the
