The Importance of Being Earnest, Will Grayson Will Grayson, The Incredible’s, Hannah Montana, and A Midsummer’s Night Dream all have things in common. How can an Oliver Wild play have anything to do with a Disney Channel kids TV show? All 5 of these works include characters who are directly or indirectly involved with a fictional character. These fictional characters are created to help the actual character in the story live out a double life. I think they may not mean to do it but these double lives ultimately help the characters out until they get caught. Often times characters use secret identities to live out a double life or to get what they want. Bunbury, Bunburrying, Bunburryiest. 3 terms that ultimately mean having a pretend person to visit to get out of social engagements. John had to visit his delinquent brother Ernest in the city to get out of staying in the country where he has many responsibilities as an adult figure. I believe that it was alright that he went to the city for an escape, but not going to “visit your brother” who doesn’t even exist and introducing yourself as Ernest. Which apparently all of the women have always dreamed of marrying someone names Ernest. Incredible did, using a secret identity to be able to live a somewhat normal life as a teenage girl. Her secret life wash’t necessary but was nice to have. Unlike the 2 Ernest's, Hannah Montana used her second identity to keep herself safe. In her song Best of Both Worlds she says “You get the best of both worlds. Chilling out take it slow then you rock out the show.”. This pretty much describes the 2 lives she had to live in her daily life. Unfortunately for the viewers of the show Hannah Montana gave up her identity as a grand finale for the seasons. Like every other character I'm trying to connect, her getting caught was
