In the book and movie The Fault In Our Stars, Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters fall in love. After the book was published then the movie came out. In both the movie and book there wasn 't to many differences, just some characters taken out of the movie. Some noticeable events from the book weren 't in the movie since not everything from a 25 chapter book could fit into a 125 minute movie. For the most part the book and movie were very similar to each other. Lets learn about some of the similarities and differences from the book and movie The Fault In Our Stars. In case you haven 't read the book, i 'll catch you up real quick. So the book is about two teenagers that have cancer which are Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters, which i mentioned in the previous paragraph. They both meet by going to a support group for their illness. After they get to know each other they admit their love. Since they are so in love with each other, they go to Amsterdam to meet one of Hazel Grace’s favorite authors. So in the movie the beginning is the same as the book. One of the difference in the movie was Augustus parents let him take Hazel Grace downstairs right away, but in the book they do not let him take her without parental guidance. One of the big differences was some of the characters from the book were not in the movie. Those characters were Kaitlin and Augustus little sisters. In the book Hazel mentions Augustus sisters a lot while he was in cancer treatment, but they don 't get screen time or recognition in the movie. The last main difference was, in the book Hazel goes searching everywhere for Gus letter he wrote her, yet in the movie she finds his letter right in her car after Gus funeral.
