Both the stories “The Cask of Amontillado” and “The Most Dangerous Game” use imagery very well. In “The Cask of Amontillado” Poe will use imagery to to make the story good, scary, and creepy. In “The Most Dangerous Game” Richard Connell made the story about a man who fell a boat, so he swam to an island called Shipwrecked Island. Who will use better imagery in their stories “The Cask Of Amontillado” or “The Most Dangerous Game.” In “The Cask of Amontillado” Poe talks about how it was dark and there was skeletons on the the wall of the catacomb. The mood he his trying to set in the story is creepy and scary. Some of the story is not creepy or scary like some of them, for example, it talks about how “hundreds of people attend the carnival and dress up in crazy costumes.” Poe uses good imagery throughout the story so that he can make the story good and understanding what’s going on in the story. The mood in “The Most Dangerous Game” shows adventure and action. It talks about when they were at sea and then when Rainsford gets to the island his trying to leave the island, because he could lose his life from the hands of General Zaroff. It also talks about what General Zaroff’s home like looked in the inside and that outside, he uses imagery when he talks about the the rooms in the house.
