“It is never fair to judge a person before you get to know them.” I believe that you should never judge someone before you actually get to know them better. There are many examples of this quote in three different texts. The three examples are “Of Mice and Men,” “Tuesdays with Morrie,” and “Romeo and Juliet.”
The first story used to describe this quote is “Of Mice and Men.” One example in this story would be one of the main characters, Lennie. When George and Lennie first arrive at the ranch, they meet the boss. George does all of the talking for Lennie because he did not want Lennie to say something wrong. The boss instantly judges George and Lennie because he does not understand why Lennie isn't talking. He began questioning them about it. Another example from this text would be another character, Crooks. He was a black stable buck and was never treated the same as everyone else. He was kept in a different room completely away from everyone else at the ranch. All of the farmers at the ranch judged Crooks because he was black. Every time a worker would enter Morries home, he felt uncomfortable because he always assumed he was being judged. A lot of the workers assumed he was not a very happy person, considering he had ALS, but it turns out that Morrie was one of the happiest people they had met. Another example from this text would be the other main character, Mitch. When Mitch found out that Morrie had ALS he immediately wanted to see him. When Mitch arrives to Morries house, he thinks that things are not going to be the same as they were many years ago. Mitch thought that Morrie would judge him because of where he is at in life and he had not visited him in so long. In the end, everyone that visited Morrie knew how much of a happy person he was and Morrie never judged
