There were many great accomplishments in Akkadia, but the best ones were in 2000 BCE, when King Sargon and the Akkadians conquered all of Mesopotamia, and the way Sargon kept the empire in his control.

The very first thing King Sargon did to conquer Mesopotamia, was recruited an army. This was very skillful, but everyone in Sumeria already knew this. The second thing he did, was build an army. He used many military skills, the best ones in all of history at the time. What he did though, was astonishing. First, he would have the army in a tight formation. Then, In the front of the group, he would put soldiers holding mighty shields. This made them invisible. Even better, behind the front soldiers stood soldiers with long, pointy spears.
