The story of LOST and Lord of the Flies have similar and differences. Some of the similar are that in both stories people are on an islands and in both of the stories a plane crash. Differences about both stories, the lord of the flies have no smoking and in lost have thier is smoking. In lost the characters have guns and the lord of the flies the characters do not have guns. In Simon’s death they were saying “ Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!” I think Simon’s death was second degree murder because it was dark and they could not see nothing in the dark so they thought Simon was the beast so they went after him so in the story it saids “ At once the crowd surged after it, poured down the rock, leapt onto the beast, screamed, struck,bit,tore.” The crowed killed Simon and they seen “Simon’s dead body moved out toward the open sea.” The definition of 2nd degree murder by intent “premeditation” The boys intended to kill the beast( Simon), but then actions went spontaneous.
