The theme of love is present in the Perks of Being A Wallflower and the movie Dead Pool. The main characters in both the movies and the books are in love with each other. It made their lives really difficult because both really loved each other, but life got in the way of them being together. This happens in real life too. That’s why so may people enjoy these two stories because they can relate.
An example of love from Perks of Being a Wallflower is when Charlie loved his Aunt Helen. She was the only person in his life who showed hi love and support. Craig loved Patrick and Patrick loved Craig. But Craig didn’t want others to know. Not his friends and not his father. He couldn’t deal with the punishment and humiliation that he would have gotten from people knowing. So they had to be together in secret. In Deadpool, the main character loved humanity early on in the movie. As the movie progressed and bad things started happening to Deadpool, he lost that love for awhile for anyone. Then he realized that he could pair up with other superheroes, and with their help, he could take down the villan who made him ugly and reunite with his girlfriend again.
In Perks of Being a Wallflower, Charlie had a huge crush on Sam , even the first time he met her. As time went on, he got even more feelings for her. They spent more and more time together and his feelings became deeper. Charlie did not share his feelings of love until the very end of the story. At that point, it was almost too late. Sam was leaving for college. She wished he had said something sooner. In Deadpool, another example of love was when he saved his girlfriend’s life. There was a villian with a bomb.
