Mae Martini’s fascination with cowboys began when she was a little girl watching Bonanza, The Big Valley, Alias Smith and Jones, and her favorite, Laredo. (The cowboys in that show were smokin’.) Of course there were others, but those were her favorite. Her fascination didn’t end there. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman is right up there with her favorites. Anyone remember Sully?
A born and raised New Yorker, she now resides in New Jersey with her husband, their two boys, and their cat, Cookie, who made her debut in Mae’s novel Wanting You.
Her stories take place in and around Central Texas. On a recent visit there she fell in love with Wimberley, a small town with a population now at 2,626. Her novel The Mobster and the Cowboy takes place in that
