Spitz was untouched, while Buck was streaming with blood and painting hard . And all the while the silent and wolfish circle waited to finish off whichever dog went down. As Buck grew winded, Spitz took to rushing, and he knocked Buck off his feet. Buck was gasping for air . Spitz walked back , not a scratch on him charged buck again . Buck rolled out the way at the second . Buck was smarter the Spitz he knew what to do … so he thought . Buck tried to go in for the neck but spitz got him down on the ground he was about to bite in to his jugular veins. Buck knew it was the end. Then they herd a gun shot it was old man with a big black hat. He starting shooting at all the surrounding dog . While Spitz was distracted Buck pushed him off and ran off , Spitz followed . Buck went behind a log and lay down he thought he was hidden but part of his big body was sticking out . Buck was scared. Spitz spotted buck he quietly walked over her him . He pounced on Buck . Buck pushed him back with the force of his legs . There a big ditch behind both of them and they fell back in to it . Buck hurt his leg when they fell back Spitz hurt his leg too. It was a vast rocky ditch with rocks and snow all around . Spitz got up and was about to attack buck again .
