There’s over 500 stories and myths around the world that talk about the great flood that happened once and swallowed everything on earth. Noah’s Ark in Genesis from the Bible and the Epic of Gilgamesh that contains a story about a flood are probably the most known stories that talk about a great flood. Both stories are very similar to each other that I think that Noah’s Ark might have been inspired by the other story. Basically the two stories, talk about how gods wanted to wipe out humanity because of their behaviors; therefore they decide to flood the earth and kill all humankind and all life on it. In the first story, Noah was seen as a good man, and he was told by the God about the flood that’s coming, and how to save himself and his family.
