Crane’s The Red Badge of Courage and Komunyakaa’s “Camouflaging the Chimera” may seem quite similar, but they are in fact very different from each other. For instance, The Red Badge of Courage focuses on one main character while “Camouflaging the Chimera” focuses on a group of soldiers. So, despite how similar they may appear at a first, when you dig deeper and take a closer look, you’ll find that they are not as similar as you thought.
There are few vegetables and fruits that turns to the color brown if their surface is exposed to oxygen. Once the veggies or fruits been exposed to oxygen, then the browning begins to appear, and electrons and hydrogen will be removed. This happens because of an enzyme called catechol oxidase. The enzyme will act on its substrate catechol to form a yellow compound which then reacts with the oxygen in the air and change into benzoquinone. The more concentration of the enzyme, the more browning appears.

LIkewise, in the story “Thank You Ma’am” by Langston Hughes, Mrs. Jones caught a child named Roger who tried to steal her purse for a pair of shoes. When thrown into a problematic situation, even without a similar background in the slightest, Lemon Brown and Mrs. Jones address their problems similarly..
The Bean Trees, by Barbara Kingsolver and My Sister’s Keeper, by Jodi Picoult are both books that show a moral dilemma. Anna forces a moral dilemma when she chooses to sue for the rights to her body. Taylor is constantly facing dilemmas in her life, such as whether or not the keep Turtle or to help Estevan and Esperanza. These books have many similarities as well as differences in aspects including theme, characters, plot, and genre. The theme in The Bean Trees is that family does not have to be blood related.
Have you ever witnessed natural phenomenon? A sinkhole, maybe a termite infestation, rain even? If you have, you know you can’t stop any of this from happening. The main character Paul in the book Tangerine, by Edward bloor, has things going on in his life that he can’t control. I think that in the novel, Bloor uses natural phenomenon to represent the problems in Paul’s life and his memories.
Choices A lot of people make choices every single day. When they wake up, they know that they will face different challenges/choices that have consequences. In Tangerine there are many different people who make choices Including Paul. Paul makes choices not to tell his parents about what he sees/hears about Erik.
In Jon Krakauer 's book Into the Wild, the main protagonist is Chris McCandless, a teenage wanderer who died infamously near Denali National Park. His story motivated Krakauer to write the book, which has now been translated into 14 languages and is used internationally in high school and college courses. Into the Wild was adapted into film in 2007, and was given an incredible soundtrack to go along with the movie. In the song “Guaranteed”, Vedder is making a direct connection to McCandless entering what he knew as the Alaskan wilderness.
