Imagine meeting someone and getting married to them within 48 hours of knowing them. In Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, when Romeo and Juliet see each other for the first time they know they’re in love. Romeo and Juliet have to be very secretive about seeing each other since their families have a feud that’s been going on for a long time. Romeo and Juliet eventually confess their love for each other and get married. Romeo ends up killing Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, and has to be banished instead of having to be executed. While all of this is happening a man named Paris is talking to Juliet’s father, Capulet, to try and get his blessing to marry Juliet. Once Tybalt dies Juliet seems depressed so Capulet gives Paris permission to marry Juliet in hopes of cheering her up. Juliet …show more content…

She’s given a potion that should make her appear deceased. Their plan doesn’t work because Romeo does get any of the messages he’s supposed to and ends up killing himself. Then when Juliet wakes up Romeo is dead next to her and she kills herself because she can’t live without her Romeo. In another book called Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Lennie and George are the main characters and they’re best friends. Lennie has a disability that makes him not know what he’s doing. George takes care of Lennie and they got a job on this ranch. The “boss” of the ranch has a wife who Lennie ends up killing on accident. George is asked many times what to do about Lennie because he can’t leave him alone, so George killed Lennie so he doesn’t get in trouble for his crimes he committed. George also kills Lennie so he doesn’t have to take care of him anymore. Some people may say the Lennie and George, from Of Mice and Men, have a stronger relationship than Romeo and Juliet, but Romeo and Juliet don't let anything get in between them, they’re both willing to do anything for each other, and lastly they don't care what other people think of
