The story teaches a very good lesson, and modern authors still draw from it’s storyline. They also draw from the lessons it teaches while people read it.

The novel “A Christmas Carol and the play “A Christmas Carol” produced by the Hartford Stage had similarities and differences. A resemblance was the Ghost of Christmas Present’s, the physical appearance was perfectly portrayed, it was stated in the novel, “It was in one simple deep green robe, or mantle, bordered with white fur… and on its head it wore no other covering than holly wreath set here and there with shining icicles. Its dark brown curls were long and free.” In the play, the clothes was impeccably exemplary , even the holy wreath with icicles was shown identical according to the text. One of the differentials was there was 3 new characters and 2 children that was not in the book.
In the play, “The Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, Ebenezer Scrooge was very rude throughout ¾ of the story. Towards the end he brightened up for once and was very nice surprisingly. Everyone saw him as an ungrateful and grumpy man who had no Christmas spirit whatsoever. Everyone else was up to the spirit and so excited and he always was rude and miserable and made it roll off of some others.
Christmas Carol TDA Cold inside and out. Selfish. Mean subtly. Cheap.
During the Christmas season greed should be unheard of, but that’s not the case in these two stories were about to discuss. Ebenezer Scrooge is an old careless man who has no loved ones. In fact, his only love is himself and his money. Within the drama titled A Christmas Story and the video titled A Christmas Carol, Mr. Scrooge is not a pleasant man to be around and is commonly avoided because of his negative attitude towards the holidays and other people. These two different versions of the same story are extremely similar, but if taken a closer look at there is a few small differences.
A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, tells a story about a man named Ebenezer Scrooge who throughout his life, was selfish and unkind to those around him. One night, the ghost of his former friend and coworker warns him that he will be visited by three ghosts in one night, showing his lack of goodwill in his past and present, while previewing what might become of his future. In Inferno, by Dante Alighieri, Dante travels throughout Hell with Virgil as his guide. He learns about each level of damnation and how the souls are punished. Inferno and A Christmas Carol relate and differ in many ways like the main characters, the use of threes, and the setting.

At the beginning of the novel “A Christmas carol” Scrooge can be interpreted as an archetypal villain (an extreme stereotype of a villain), this is inferred when Dickens describes Scrooge as an “old sinner”. The quote “old sinner” links in with the description of a villain as a sinner often someone who commits immoral acts regularly whilst disregarding Christian doctrine, considering the time the book was published (1800) committing a sin was a villainous act to do; therefore implying to the reader that Scrooge is a going to be a villainous character throughout the novel.
