Bullock and Agosin In the article How I Learned about the Power of Writing, Richard Bullock takes us through his journey of becoming an aspiring literary genius as a kid. His purpose was to show that his Grandma wanted him to be the one in the family to succeed. Grandma wasn’t able to extend her education past the 8th grade because she became a seamstress. She had hope in her daughter that she would follow her education, but she didn’t make it past high school.
The Wes Moore’s Success Can a person's successfulness really depend on on the way they were raised and environment they live in? Many argue that a person’s nature, other wise known as their physical surroundings, could affect how successful someone could become in their future. Others argue that it is a person's nurture that determine their successfulness. In “The Other Wes Moore,” Wes Moore, the author, and the other Wes Moore share the same name and similar lives, but only one manifested himself into a successful life. How much freedom and supervision should parents give their children really depends on them both. Most parents today are too overprotective. Overprotective parents can be a negative influence on their children due to the fact that they avoid going through struggles and challenges. If the parent is overprotective their children would not learn how to be independent. The story” Learning to Read”, by Malcolm X, depicts how the motivation could push people further to achieve their academic goal no matter where you from or who you are. The author himself never made it past the eighth grade because he dropped out from the school. Of course with unemployment he got himself involved in criminal activity and later, be putted into prison. the life in prison makes him revalue his past and trying to stand up for himself in order to beat this circumstance. He taught himself how to read and become literate even all he could rely on is a dictionary, and the limit recourse obtained from the prison school.
Everyone wants to be successful, long for to be successful, because success mean wealth, power, and the respect. Certainly, there are many issues to make a person’s success. In“Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell, he enumerates a lot of issues which make a person’s success, like talent, intelligence, opportunity, environment, hard work, culture, social trends. Environment is an important and necessary issue of the success, and environment are social environment, and family environment. For my opinion, i think family environment influences a person a lot, because family it is the first that you get touch with, and you grow under your family environment since you were a baby that know nothing about this world.

The book “Outliers,” by Malcolm Gladwell takes readers on a momentous adventure of twists and turns through life's most optimistic lessons. The aspiration of the book “Outliers,’ is a reflection of how the author Gladwell would like his readers to view and glide through the journey called life. Examples given within the book help to shed light on positive lifelong learning experiences. The key question in the book “Outliers,” is what makes people who are great achievers different from regular people? ” The term “Outlier,” illustrates phenomena’s that can happen apart from what is considered to be the social norm (Gladwell, 2007).
When someone first begins to do something, they enjoy it, but has anyone noticed that once a parent starts pushing you to do what you enjoy more than normally, you start to notice that your attention and love for what you did starts to drop. Becoming a parent is a task that cannot be taken lightly. It is a task filled with frustration, responsibilities and dedication, but is also filled with joy and satisfaction. From children learning how to behave to them going out with friends, rules, standards and expectations are set mostly by their parents. Parents make most of their children’s decision in the first couple of years from behalf from what they eat for breakfast from setting their curfew as they get older. Outliers has served to teach students the means of being successful and the importance of seizing opportunities as they come. Personally, Outliers has changed my views of success in numerous ways. Before reading said book, I had always assumed people who were naturally talented or had specific privileges were the only ones who could get far. However, Gladwell’s writing has informed me that anyone, if they are prepared to work hard, can reach their goals.
