The boy spent 8 nights spying on the old man. But then he butchered him and hid him under the floorboards. Mrs. Maloney also hid the evidence. Yes, these two stories may be similar, but they have their differences. For example, Lamb to the slaughter used a leg of lamb(Dahl 100) and Tell tale heart used a mattress to suffocate the victim(Poe 6). In lamb to the slaughter Mrs.Maloney was never caught(Dahl 285) yet the tale of the boy was arrested(Poe 8). Also, would you kill your husband because of an affair he wanted? When you were pregnant? Well Mrs. Maloney thought so and whacked her husband with the leg of lamb they were saving (Dahl 100). But the boy in the story didn’t like the old man that was nice to him. Why do you need to be a member? He had a weird looking vulture eye. And planned a murder seven nights while he watched the old man in his sleep.
