I came across writing this topic about how dress code affects our behaviors when I questioned myself during my topic conversation with Mr. Shinkar. Instead of writing about whether I am for or against dress code, it’s more interesting to write about how our behaviors change according to what we wear and how it directly affects our social life. The problem is that some people use fashion as a weapon to make them feel superior and give them higher social standard over others. Nowadays, people make unnecessary comments and mock others about what they’re wearing to make the obvious be clearly seen and embarrass them. For example, just by wearing denim on denim, crox, sagging pants and/or patterned leggings, one can be easily judged by others not because of what he/she is wearing but being characterized differently by the clothes worn. Not every school has fashion bullies because some schools have high intolerance in their dress code and some are simply asked to wear uniforms.
