The major creeds and confessions that influenced this paper are the Athanasian Creed and the Westminster Confession of Faith. These confessions both include sections on God the Father and the Trinity, and they depict how the Father moves while elaborating on the nature of the Trinity. One foundational text that illuminates the nature of God the Father is Isaiah 64:8. Isaiah espouses that the Father is the creator of all things, and humans are like clay, masterfully and skillfully molded by the craftsmanship of the perfect Father. Jesus in John 6:35 references the burning bush when He boldly proclaims Himself the bread of life, a direct reference to Exodus 3:14. The Trinity of the Godhead is seen in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus commands His followers to make disciples of all nations in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, evoking the Trinitarian Godhead. …show more content…
