The book of Joshua is designed to show God’s faithfulness to His promises, doing for Israel exactly as He had promised. While conquering and possessing is nice the more important message is about obedience to God. The events recorded in Joshua are chosen on pourpus to push that God’s special power on behalf of
His people to come out on top against all kinds of odds.
