Comparing The Environment And Biologica Biological Adaptation

With a need to respond to the ever-changing environment and the stresses in which it places on the body both physically and mentally, human beings must adapt in a variety of biological and cultural ways. In order to cope with the environmental stresses placed upon us, these forms of adaptation are key, and require both genetic change as well as cultural change to fulfill biological, psychological, and emotional needs. The two forms of adaptation both differ immensely in how the acclimatization process works and is used, however, the two work together in the further advancement of human evolution. Without biological and cultural adaptation, human evolution would be non-existent and our species as a whole would not have been able to survive up until to this point (Anthro Palomar). …show more content…

With constant, varying levels of environmental stress, human beings develop biologically in order to respond to these stresses, leading to the creation of a trait that can be inherited from generation to generation. These genes that are developed are continuously passed on in order to offer an advantage in response to these stresses, however, the development of these genetic changes usually take many generations to develop to its full capability (Anthro Palomar). Natural selection, the process in which an organism that is better fit to its environment survives and continues to thrive while the weaker organism dies out is also significant in the explanation of biological adaptation. The better fit organism has adapted biologically in order to survive in its environment and has developed genetic traits in order to do so, while the weaker one has not or cannot develop in this
