Effective leadership can serve as a powerful lever to achieve success and life goals. Being a great leader can take you and your business along way. It take great leaders for business to be sucessful. Robert leadership more directive and autonomous. While Robert was CEO of home depot his tenure was very inflexible. Once his career was done as CEO, he plan to centralize control and neglected the touchy-feely stuff. Robert invested in technology more than anything. He wanted to measure everything in the company and blame the top managers for meeting the numbers. Robert done a great job leading the company for 6 years but things start to slow down. He neglected the touch point of business.
Robert delivered great profit during his six years of being CEO. The company grew strong and had consistent growth. Some of the figures was $46 billion in 2000 which was the year Robert took over, to $81.5 billion in 2005. Profits did a big jump and profits doubled. After Nardelli came in the employees didn’t stand a chance because he came in with new ideas. Once he expose the change of new ideas the employees didn’t have not one desire for transformation. Soon as he was in the doors good he instituted cutting cost. He start cutting fulltime jobs, capped employee’s wages, and hired military officers to run the stores. Customer service collapse and declined with the new regime. He was very positive and open. He demanded so much out of people. His transition
