Gaming addiction is a disorder were one has no impulse control in which they make wagers of various types: in casinos, at horse racers etc. With they there is a compromise, disrupts and damages personal, family, and vocational pursuits. People who are known for their gaming addiction face many health risks such as: suicidal thoughts, a sleeping loss, no appetite bankruptcy and many more. I researched many different programs that are involved with helping people help themselves to stop their addiction and ways to gamble responsible. Both organizations establish and promote programs that increase personal awareness about gambling disorders they also promote responsible gaming. They show their support by researching and funding peer-reviews of gambling disorders. AGA is all about following the Code of Conduct for Responsible Gaming and educating their readers about making responsible decisions about when and how to gamble the right way. RGC works to reduce the risks of gambling. They do this by creating and delivering innovated programs about awareness. These programs include social marketing campaigns to stop the cause, a prevention week which relates to the social marketing campaign, one of the most interesting being BetCheck. This is an online tool that lets a gambler compare and contrast their gambling habits with the “typical gambler.” These programs are just to name a few. With living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and growing up by casinos my entire life I come across so many billboards and television adds with different types of programs and numbers to call. These all support this topic and all are trying to achieve the same end goal. This goal being stop the addiction and make the world free of problem gambling.
