TV rights fees will grow to $4.9 billion in 2014 and will increase again in 2015 once DirecTV’s agreement is extended. A common Comparison I see often is the military wage vs. an NFL player’s wage. Many people are frustrated with the difference and believe either NFL players should make less or military personnel should make more. Through statistics and my own experiences I can say that as far as your wage goes you would make more money in your lifetime working for the military than you would in the NFL. As the Super Bowl festivities continue to grow, slowly but surely many of San Francisco’s homeless people are being kicked out of their spots and are being gathered into shelters. In the article published by Alison Vekshin, “San Francisco nudges homeless away from Super Bowl fan village,” she expresses how the media does not want San Francisco to be viewed with poverty so they are kicking out the poor people to make room for activities and media signs that are associated with the Super Bowl. Overall, I support the NFL players they are focusing on the bigger issue that is in America. Everyone knows it, but does anyone else do something no. Many people are scared to use their voice because of the repercussions that occur. Our society needs to keep changing to satisfy all ethnicities and gender in our community.

As I kicked off my research on the National Football League (NFL), I intended to report on these injuries. With a premise on my mind and a paper in my sights, I headed to JumboSearch to begin my investigation.
A great example is when the NFL Foundation raised millions of dollars for prominent organizations like the American Cancer Society, battle against breast cancer, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Since 1973, the foundation has also donated around 250 million dollars to youth football programs. (Easterbrook 178) The largest event that produces the most money in football is the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl generates 620 million dollars, and a quarter of this revenue goes towards organizations that support disabled veterans (Murphy 9).
People know that doctors and firefighters save lives, while athletes play a game to make money. Even teachers pay isn’t anywhere near to athletes; they educate the generation’s youth so they can make a difference in the future. So many jobs that are very important don’t get paid as much and that money can go towards better causes. But these are only some of the reasons that pro athletes get paid too much.
