In ¨Of Mice and Men¨, directed by Gary Sinese, Lenny is seen differently in the book than he is the movie, in more ways than one. One way that Lennie is seen differently in the movie is when we get to hear the quality of his voice. Now that the viewer gets to hear Lennie, we can now see how much his disability really affects him. Another moment where you can see Lennie 's differences, is when he gets in a fight with Curley and crushes his hand. In the book you can 't tell his facial expressions, how angry he really is or what he does in that scene.
The Nutcracker, written in 1892, was based on E. T. A. Hoffmann’s The Nutcracker and The Mouse, written in 1816. The ballet is a regular staple of the holiday season, with many dance companies, both big and small, taking the opportunity to perform The Nutcracker. Duke Ellington (1899-1974) was one of the greatest jazz musicians of our time, acting as a pianist, bandleader, and composer. Along with this, Ellington is widely known for being one of the originators of the big band genre.
Well I have seen a lot of film versions and no stage versions, and since I like to have fun I will be talking about the differences between "A Christmas Carol" and "A Muppet Christmas Carol". Now besides the Muppets I would say the movie is very accurate, from the costume designs, to the story. They even add direct quotes from the book sometimes, but with every adaptations some changes were made here and there. Of course they had to cut some material out to make the movie a certain time, and they had to make the content a little more enjoyable for their modern audiences so they made the dialog a bit more "with the times". They also added some more personal choices like adding musical numbers which I find is very fitting for the story.
In the movie, A Christmas Carol, there are many differences than the play. Some differences in wording could be a result of the actor messing up. The movie has parts included that are not in the original play. This could be a result of more modern technology. Most of the most important things are included in both.
During this time Alvin was only 27 years old when the ballet had premiered. Some would say that this piece was one of Alvin’s greatest masterpiece. He had found his own voice in the creative artist he was presenting on the concert dance
When seeking contrast between two different pieces of literature the themes can be used to find a shared message in the writing. “Of mice and men” by John Steinbeck and “To a Mouse” by Robert Burns share a theme of longing for a better life. In “Of Mice and Men”, the characters have a vision of the perfect life; it’s this vision that makes their misfortune so heartbreaking. In Robert Burns’ poem, his tone of envy towards a life without worry shows us he to has a vision of a perfect life: A life of
The Nutcracker is a memorable christmas story that has been told for a long time. The Nutcracker has many different versions ballet, movies, books, and more. In the variety of the version the plot is very similar. In the ballet there are only a couple ways to tell the story is their movements, their expression, and the music. The original ballet was in 1892.
C. S. Lewis’ masterpiece The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe uses descriptive writing and a variety of interesting characters to retell the story of Christ’s sufferings to save His people from their sins. Structured around the actual story of Jesus’ sacrifice for humanity, Lewis’ book focuses on the spiritual journey of the four Pevensie children: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. Lucy, the youngest of the four siblings, first discovers the secret of the grand wardrobe. At first, no one believes her when she tells them of her adventures in the land of Narnia, a place where winter lasts forever, but Christmas never comes. However, Edmund, Peter, and Susan all eventually meet Aslan, the Great Lion, for themselves.
The book and movie that I read is called The Lion, The Witch ,and The Wardrobe. It was written by C.S Lewis, and the movie was produced by Andrew Adamson. The book and the movie were about this family who had to move because of Air Raids. There were two brothers named Peter and Edmund and two sisters named Susan and Lucy. They stay in a profferer 's house.
The “Pas De Deux of the Sugarplum Fairy” is a classic piece from The Nutcracker created by contemporary ballet choreographer, George Balanchine. The Nutcracker, comprised of two acts, is about a young girl waking up to a fairytale journey involving many characters like the Mouse King, the Sugarplum Fairy and her Cavailer, and the Nutcracker who turns into the Prince. The “Pas De Deux of the Sugarplum Fairy”, a piece from the second act, specifically revolves around the Sugarplum Fairy and Cavailer paying homage to the young girl and Nutcracker Prince for battling the Mouse King. Balanchine’s expresses the Sugarplum Fairy and her Cavailer’s homage by creating a redefined version of grand pas de deux and several other reformed ballet movements
A Christmas Carol The story A Christmas Carol was written by Charles Dickens in 1843. A Christmas Carol is about a old man named Scrooge who only cares about himself and money. Have you ever read Rapunzel? I’m sure you have because it is a classic, but you might not have read other versions of it that tell the same story but in many different ways. The Fair Angiola is one of these different versions, both Rapunzel and The Fair Angiola both share different aspects of what happened and also quite a few similarities. Although the “happily-ever-after” ending stays the same in both Rapunzel stories, the plot is changed in many irritating ways which makes for a very colorful and new read; including how the girls were taken and the escape of them with the prince.

On November 28th, 2015 I attended Ben Stevenson’s version of The Nutcracker which was being performed by the Houston Ballet at the Wortham Theater Center. The dance featured two separate acts and multitude of dances as well as a live orchestra. The Nutcracker demonstrated the ability to unleash a multitude of emotions as well captivate its audience with music composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky of the Romantic era, usage of modern technologies and techniques such as lighting and special effects, as well as its wide variety of dance types such as solo dances, pas de deux, and large group dances with a focus on a central figure or couple. Despite dance being the primary subject, it is necessary to note the performance of the orchestra of Tchaikovsky’s
The dramatic contrast of dynamics between themes, pitch, chromatic harmonies and discords used in Night on Bald Mountain are still used in musical scores for horror movies. I remember hearing this music in Disney’s Fantasia and thinking, “Boy, do I need to run.” It still has that same effect. In the movie, Chernabog, the evil god, appears in the final segment of the film and summons spirits around the mountain. There’s not another score of music that could perfectly illustrate the final scene of Disney’s Fantasia than Night of Bald Mountain.
