Happy is a key thing that you need to have in life. There are many connections from the book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and the poem “Poverty And Wealthy” by Ella Wilcox. The connections relate to the rich the the poor (greasers and the socs). The quotes in Poverty And Wealth can compare to what the greasers and the socs have to deal with in The Outsiders.

A connection for both of these writing pieces are that money doesn't buy happiness. ¨but disconnected his heart stayed curled.¨ The rich man in this poem has a lot of money and is a millionaire but he is not happy and his money can't buy me happiness. In The Outsiders, the greasers don't have a lot of money but, they they are happy. The socs have nice and big houses but when they get home they are not happy and try to stay cool and have a lot of friends when they are outside. Looking nice doesn't make you happy or have something to do to make you delighted. ¨The man grew strong and fair, and proud that he was a millionaire. Being strong and have a lot of wealth doesn't make you happy or gland. The greasers are happy when they are at home and when they are outsider with their gang, the socs are sad when they are home. When Ponyboy was talking to cherry at the nightly double, cherry says that when she takes off her mask and home she is sad and not happy. People who are poor are happy and glad but the people who have money and wealth are sad and their money can't buy
