In “Band-Aid for 800 children” there is a positive tone towards immigration. This is because of the facts, data, and statistics which shows how many children are benefiting from immigration. Another difference between the two texts is in “The Red Umbrella” the story is told through the eyes of a child in a first person point of view, but in “Band-Aid for 800 children” it’s told in 3rd person point of view by a narrator. Lucy from “The Red Umbrella” is the main character and the story shows how immigration affects Lucy in a child perspective.
