The reference to the Sabbath indicate the Jewish lifestyle. The Sabbath and ceremonies distinguish the Jews from others. Paul believes that Christians are not under this same law. Paul also addresses this in Romans and Galatians about Christian’s liberty. In Roman’s 15:5-6, Paul writes, “May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul is saying that everyone should observe the rituals based on their own level of faith, but it is not mandatory to do so.
