Nathaniel Hawthorne is one of the most famous writers from early-America. Hawthorne is a symbolic, descriptive writer. Many of Hawthorne’s stories includes striking imagery that allows the reader to simply visualize the setting and allow themselves to be placed in it. Hawthorne is best known for his short stories “The Scarlet Letter” and “The House of The Seven Gables”. “The Scarlet Letter” is about a woman named Hester Prynne who has a child born out of wedlock. Throughout the story, they try to figure out who is the father to the baby and what is going to happen to the child.
