Survival in Night and Sold
It is stated that for most people it is difficult to live without family members or friends. Usually if you don't have someone to talk to you can get lonely and depressed. If someone has family members or friends they have someone to count on and give them the motivation that they need. In the novels, Sold by Patricia McCormick and Night by Elie Wiesel. In these novels these young children are taken away but they have family with them or family support, so they can get through the tough time. By examining the novels Night and Sold we can see that family is the key to survival, which is important because, often time people who don't have family can't get through life because they don't have a steady support system.

Ways that i think he has survived the horrible Holocaust is, he never talked back to anyone, he was always with his father and listening to him so that he wouldn't get in trouble, and he gave people what they wanted. Even though it had to be hard for Eli to not have his mom or sisters and friends he still had his father. He saw fellow prisoners going to the deepest depths of selfishness and cruelty, but his relationship with his father reminds him that there is a life outside the holocaust. In the book he says how if his father died he would have no other reason to live. Since he had his dad with him he could stay somewhat on track, because some people usually went crazy and they couldn't function right and were scared. In the novel Night, ahdhfaj didn't have family members to protect or support him so this causes him to die soon and not make it through the Holocaust. How i know that he didn't make it through the holocaust without a family
