Thunder and being prey essay One mistake could change the rest of your life. Make sure you are careful and watch every step you make it could be the last part of your life if you make any mistakes. The conflicts in both of the stories are similar because in Sound OF Thunder Eckles did not listen to Travis when he said “do not step off the path you could mess the future up.” Then Eckles ended up killing a butterfly so Travis shot him. And in Being Prey Plumwood did not pay attention to that man that told her not to go too far down the river cause of the crocodiles. But she did it anyway and ended up being bitten by one on her leg. So in both stories they both did not listen and could have had a chance of being killed. The settings in both stories are similar because they both were in a jungle. In Sound Of Thunder Eckles and Travis went back in time to jungle to hunt dinosaurs that had the red dot on them. And in the beginning of Being Prey Plumwood was on a boat beside the jungle looking at crocodiles. They are different because in the beginning of both stories they are in different places. But as the story goes they end up in a jungle. Also, they were different cause in Sound Of Thunder there were no crocodiles …show more content…

Because in both of the stories Plumwood and Eckles do not listen to the people telling them not to do something and will end up killed or hurt. Because in Being Prey Plumwood did not listen to what that man was telling her about not going to far down the river but did it anyway and ended up seriously injured.
