This week’s poems where Lord Alfred Tennyson’s “Mariana” and “The Lady of Shalott”, Christina Rossetti’s “No Thank You John” and “Promises Like Pie Crust” and William Morris’ “The Defence of Guenevere”. If Christina Rossetti’s “No Thank You John” was the highlight of my reading this week then William Morris’ “The Defence of Guenevere” had to be my low point. It wasn't even that “The Defence of Guenevere” was that bad of a poem, it was a good story and all but it was just a harder read for me and I felt like if might've repeated itself too much or have contradicted itself in some places. To me it was a little confusing in some parts of the story because Guenevere would say that it was all a lie but then she would go about describing and
