Act 1 of Romeo and Juliet was better represented by Baz Luhrmann because of the symbolism. For example, in the scene where Romeo first sees Juliet , she is dressed as an angel. She is described as perfect “ a snowy dove trooping with crows…”(1:5:55) saying everyone else compared to her is ugly. She is seen as beautiful as well “she doth teach the torches to burn bright!”(1:5:51) saying that she is so beautiful her beauty outshines a torch. Similarly, Tybalt is portrayed as a devil.
Next is the comparison of Tybalt’s hate of the Montagues and now the major problem that is sitting on Watney’s plate. Tybalt hates the Montagues with a passion, this is why he has such a short fuse when he spots Romeo “ Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe; A villain, that is hither come in spite, To scorn at our solemnity this night.” (1.5). Tybalt catches site of Romeo and as soon as he sees him he off letting the head Capulet know, wanting Romeo to be eliminated just as later on he murders Mercutio. Knowing he is short on resources Watney puts his mind to it to try to solve his problem.

They possibly could have been great friends if they weren’t placed in this unfortunate situation. Shortly after taking to Romeo at the party and later that night off the balcony, Juliet informs Romeo that she shall marry him if he shows up to meet the nurse.

The image portrays two males sword fighting and a female between the two trying to stop them. In the quote Tybalt and Romeo fight and create violence because Tybalt dislikes Romeos courage to go to the Capulet party. Romeos love for Rosaline is the reason that he is going to the party, his love and heart desires Rosaline, and this love leads to violence and death as Tybalt finds this disrespectful. Romeos love is the reason for their fight and the image is portraying a fight for one’s love. In the image, the two males are creating violence because of both of their love for the same female.
This ended in Juliet becoming more confident and her desires changed. “I will not marry yet, and, when I do, I swear It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, Rather than Paris.” This quote shows Juliet refusing to marry Paris which is also her disobeying her parents. After this refusal, Juliet grows her independence and defiance of her family’s expectations. As she falls in love with Romeo these traits increase.
Shakespeare is known for his work and the characters that he created. One of his characters, Tybalt, is especially known for how violet he is. His first line in the play already shows us how violent he is. Act 1, Scene 1, Tybalt says “Turn thee, Benvolio”. Look upon thy man who is going to kill you”.
Looking back who was the hot headed character in act one scene one talking down on the Montague family? Tybalt. Tybalt is the cousin of Juliet who had a hatred for the family of Montagues, but an even stronger hatred for Romeo, Juliet’s lover. Tybalt is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet because even from the beginning Tybalt wanted to start trouble with the Montagues, second, Tybalt constantly lashing out at Romeo throughout the play and wanting to attack him at the Capulets party, and finally if Tybalt hadn’t killed Mercutio, Romeo wouldn’t have been banished. Back in act one scene one the audience had been introduced to Tybalt, a hot headed young Capulet.
Romeo was in a state of melancholy and in love with another woman until his eyes laid on Juliet. Meanwhile, Juliet found herself with her family's desire for her to marry Paris. When they decided to get married her parents can’t know about it. Since her parents don 't know about the marriage, they arranged her to marry Paris. Paris seems to be a fantastic guy, but since Juliet is already married she cannot marry him. Juliet is very upset when she heard the news about the arranged marriage you could tell when she said, “O, bid me leap, rather than marry Paris.” Juliet absolutely didn 't want to marry Paris.
Imagine someone being kicked out of their own house because they refused to marry the one of their father’s choosing. This is what happened to Juliet she was being forced to marry count Paris who she did not even know but her father liked him. This was the beginning of her fate to end it all because she fell in love with the wrong person. Then she took it too far without realizing that they were not actually meant to be.

The most defiant choice that Romeo and Juliet take for their love is their choice to be married. Juliet knows that her father or anyone in her family would not approve of this choice, but she still does it cause she loves Romeo. This love struck mentality drives Romeo and Juliet to be married and this secret marriage causes turmoil when Lord Capulet demands Juliet to marry Paris. Although Juliet knows that she is already married to Romeo loyal to him, not Paris and refuses to marry “doth Paris” (Shakespeare. III.v.145).

She is able to deceive the Nurse from suspecting that she fell in love with Romeo. Furthermore, Juliet struggles with another problem when her parents decide that she was to marry the Count Paris when she was already married to Romeo. When Juliet refuses to marry Paris, she states, “I will not even marry yet, and when I do I swear it shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, rather than Paris.” (III.v.126).
